Hose Bib Repair & Replacement in Canton, GA

Keeping Your Outdoor Water Flowing in North Metro Atlanta

A dripping, leaky, or non-functional hose bib (also commonly known as an outdoor spigot, outdoor faucet, or spigot) can be more than just an annoyance. It wastes water, inflates your utility bills, and can even lead to more serious issues like foundation damage or frozen pipe bursts during colder months. At My Georgia Plumber, we specialize in expert hose bib repair and replacement services across North Metro Atlanta, ensuring your outdoor water access is reliable and leak-free.

With over 30 years as the “masters of one—The Plumbing Trade,” our licensed and skilled plumbers are dedicated to providing prompt, efficient solutions for all your outdoor water needs. We’ll make sure your hose bib is ready for watering gardens, washing cars, or any other outdoor task.

Common Hose Bib Problems We Fix

Our expert plumbers can diagnose and resolve a wide range of common hose bib issues:

  • Constant Dripping or Leaking: The most common problem, often due to worn washers, seals, or a damaged valve.
  • Low Water Pressure: Can be caused by internal blockages, a partially closed main valve, or a larger plumbing issue.
  • No Water Flow: Indicates a complete blockage or a problem with the water supply to the bib.
  • Handle Issues: Loose, stripped, or broken handles that make it difficult to turn the water on or off.
  • Corrosion or Rust: Visible signs of deterioration that can lead to leaks and affect water quality.
  • Freezing Damage: In colder climates, older hose bibs can freeze and burst, leading to significant leaks when thawed.
  • Backflow Issues: If your hose bib isn’t equipped with proper backflow prevention, it could allow contaminated water to flow back into your home’s potable water supply.
Common Hose Bib Problems We Fix

Hose Bib Repair: Fixing Your Existing Outdoor Faucet

Often, a full replacement isn’t necessary. Our skilled technicians are adept at diagnosing the specific issue with your hose bib and performing precise, high-quality repairs. We carry common replacement parts to fix most problems quickly, saving you time and money.

Benefits of Hose Bib Repair:

  • Cost-Effective: Often more affordable than a full replacement, especially for minor issues.
  • Quick Solution: Most repairs can be completed efficiently, restoring your outdoor water access fast.
  • Eco-Friendly: Extends the life of your existing fixture, reducing waste.

Hose Bib Replacement & Installation: Upgrading for Durability & Functionality

Sometimes, a repair isn’t sufficient, or you might want to upgrade to a more durable or freeze-resistant model. My Georgia Plumber offers expert hose bib replacement and new installation services, ensuring your outdoor water access is robust and modern.

We can install various types of hose bibs to suit your needs:

  • Standard Hose Bibs: Traditional outdoor faucets.
  • Freeze-Proof (Frost-Free) Hose Bibs: Essential for North Metro Atlanta’s occasional freezing temperatures. These models have a long stem that extends into your home’s heated space, moving the shut-off valve away from the exterior wall, preventing water from freezing inside the pipe.
  • Anti-Siphon/Backflow Preventer Hose Bibs: Equipped with a built-in vacuum breaker to prevent contaminated outdoor water from siphoning back into your home’s drinking water supply, ensuring safety and compliance with codes.
  • Hot & Cold Hose Bibs: For specialized outdoor uses requiring both hot and cold water.

Benefits of Hose Bib Replacement/New Installation:

  • Prevent Freezing & Bursts: Installing a freeze-proof hose bib is crucial to protect your plumbing system during winter.
  • Enhanced Safety: Modern hose bibs often include integrated backflow prevention, protecting your family’s drinking water.
  • Eliminate Leaks: A new installation ensures a fresh start with no wear-and-tear issues.
  • Improved Durability: New fixtures are built with modern, resilient materials designed for longevity.
  • Increased Water Efficiency: A properly functioning new bib won’t drip or leak, saving water and money.

Our Professional Hose Bib Service Process

  1. Diagnosis: We’ll thoroughly inspect your existing hose bib to determine the exact cause of the problem and recommend whether repair or replacement is the best course of action.
  2. Water Shut-Off: We’ll safely shut off the water supply to the affected line, ensuring a clean and secure working environment.
  3. Removal/Repair: We’ll expertly repair the existing bib or carefully remove the old unit if a replacement is needed.
  4. New Installation: For replacements, we’ll install your chosen new hose bib, ensuring it’s properly sealed, level, and securely anchored to your home’s exterior. For freeze-proof models, we ensure the proper pitch for drainage.
  5. Secure Connections: Our plumbers will meticulously connect the new water supply line, ensuring all connections are watertight and leak-free.
  6. Testing: We’ll fully test the new or repaired hose bib for proper water flow, pressure, and, most importantly, for any leaks.
  7. Final Cleanup: We clean up the work area thoroughly, leaving your property tidy.

On 8/5/26 My Georgia Plumber did a very complete and professional plumbing inspection that was included FREE with my Home Care Club Membership. During the inspection, I pointed out the low water flow in the two master bathroom sinks. James T determined the cause was clogged aerators in both of the Moen faucets. He said they needed to be replaced. My Georgia Plumber provided an estimate of the replacement cost. On 8/14/26 James T and his associate replaced the two aerators and now the water flow is very good. THANKS FOR THE GREAT WORK, GUYS!!

I was very pleased with the service. It was punctual and effective; the job was done properly—something others had failed to do, which was why the problem persisted. Thank you

Rhett went above and beyond! Our disposal was not working, it was still under warranty with its manufacturer. I called the manufacturer’s customer service. Rhett took the time to speak to them directly and resolved the issue. He also installed a new seal ring on our half-bath toilet. He did a great job! I always have an excellent experience when I call My Georgia Plumber.
