We’ve handled just about every kind of plumbing emergency story in our 30+ years of service. But every now and then, something truly memorable comes through—something that sticks not because of what broke, but because of what had to be fixed quietly, and fast. This one? Let’s just say it came with a deadline.
How This Plumbing Emergency Story Escalated So Fast
It was late Thursday afternoon when I got the call.
The man on the other end had a thick Southern drawl, calm as could be, and polite to a fault.
“Darlin’, I’ve got a little situation I need help with,” he said.
Now, when someone opens with “darlin’” and “sweetheart,” they’re usually either charming as can be—or knee-deep in trouble.
“I’ve got water pourin’ outta my living room wall,” he continued. “I just need someone here before my wife gets home.”
Naturally, I asked, “Did you shut off the water?”
“I’m tryin’ to,” he said, as calmly as if he were ordering sweet tea.
I asked, “What happened?”
There was a pause. Then:
“Well… I was cleanin’ my gun. It went off. Hit the wall, went straight through into the backyard shed. I think I clipped a pipe—or maybe two.”
“Just… please make it quick. She’s gonna be real mad if she finds out.”
Inside the Fix: Emergency Plumbing with a Twist
We dispatched a tech immediately.
When our guy arrived, the gentleman had already set out everything he needed to patch the drywall. You could tell—this wasn’t his first rodeo.
Our tech got to work, assessed the damage, repaired the pipe, and made sure there were no surprises behind the wall. As he worked, he noticed a few other patched spots nearby and asked about them.
“Well,” the homeowner said, matter-of-factly, “as I was tellin’ your office… I was cleanin’ my gun, and apparently, I left one in the chamber. It went off, hit the wall, right through the studs, and clean out the back into the shed. She got real mad at me last time this happened… and if she finds out I did it again, well—she’s gonna be real mad.”
The leak was fixed, the drywall got patched, and the gentleman got a second chance to keep his secret safe.
As for the wife? Far as we know, she still doesn’t know.
And don’t worry—we’re not tellin’.
Not Your Average Plumbing Emergency
The scene?
One busted pipe.
One suspicious hole in the drywall.
One very polite man holding a towel, a wrench, and absolutely zero panic.
The leak was fixed, the wall patched, and the mess cleaned before the wife got home.
We don’t know what happened next—but if she ever found out, it wasn’t from us.
We’re the ones folks call when things go sideways, when time is tight, and when it really can’t go wrong.
We’ve got your back—no judgment, just solutions.
