At My Georgia Plumber, we pride ourselves on delivering top-notch plumbing services and products. We are dedicated to ensuring our customers are fully satisfied with the quality and reliability of our work. Our refund policy reflects our commitment to standing by our services and products, and we strive to address any concerns you may have promptly and fairly. But even with the best intentions, we know that sometimes things don't flow quite right. So here’s our “No Surprises” refund policy, crafted with a pinch of humor and a whole lot of transparency!

General Terms

  • Refund Requests: All refund requests must be submitted in writing to our customer service department.
  • Processing Time: We’ll scrutinize your request with Sherlock Holmes-like intensity and, if it passes muster a refund will be issued. Typically, this process takes 14-21 business days from initiation to the funds appearing in your bank account, although it may take longer depending on your card company's processing times. We will keep you informed at every step of the process.
  • Exclusions: Our policy won’t cover Acts of God, shifty third parties, or sneaky leaks from that mystery pipe you forgot to mention.

 

  1. Service Fees and Emergency Fees
    • Service Fees: Service fees ensure a qualified technician arrives at your home in a stocked van, ready to diagnose and resolve your plumbing or gas problem. Once a technician has been dispatched, service fees are non-refundable.
    • Emergency Fees: Emergency fees cover the cost of dispatching a technician after hours. These fees ensure prompt response and preparedness during emergencies. Emergency fees are non-refundable once a technician has been dispatched.
  2. Plumbing Repairs and Installations
    • Initial Assessment: Customers must notify us within 7 days if a repair or installation is unsatisfactory for a review and potential rework.
    • Rework Policy: If an issue persists, we will send a technician to reassess and rework the problem at no additional charge.
    • Non-Refundable Circumstances:
      • Issues arising from customer negligence, misuse, or tampering after service completion.
      • If you’ve turned your plumbing into a DIY disaster... No backsies.
      • Changed your mind about the price after the fact? That ship has sailed.
      • Let another company tinker with our masterpiece? That’s a no-go for refunds.
      • Dislike of the price after service completion. Seriously, you asked this. It’s a hard no.
      • Another company altering our work, that gets filed under “Big No”.
  3. Memberships
    • Annual Basis: Memberships are sold annually, providing discounts and free maintenance services throughout the year.
    • Transferable: Memberships can be transferred to a new owner or property.
    • Cancellation of New Memberships: Cancellation requests must be made within 30 days of purchase. Any discounts received will be deducted from the refund.
    • Cancellation of Membership Renewals: Cancellation requests must be received within 30 days of renewal. Discounts received for services will be due immediately. The retail cost of benefit services received will also be due.
    • Cancellation of Membership Renewal after 30 Days: After a membership has been renewed for 30 days, the cost of membership is non-refundable. We make a notation on your profile to cancel future automatic renewals. But great news, you’ll get to enjoy being a VIP member and all of it’s benefits for another year, you lucky dog!
  4. Customer-Provided Equipment and Fixtures
    • No Refunds: Installed something you brought to the party? We’ll help make it work, but if it throws a tantrum, the refund boat doesn’t dock.
    • Replacement Assistance: We’ll play nice with the manufacturer for a replacement, but you’re footing the bill.
  5. Home Warranty Trade Fees, Non-Covered Costs, and Unpaid Claims
    • Trade Fees: Trade fees are non-refundable once a technician has been dispatched. Once our tech has been dispatched, that fee’s in lockdown.
    • Non-Covered Costs: Non-covered costs are non-refundable once work has been completed. Once we’ve done the deed, no takesy backsies.
    • Disputes: Disputes with home warranty companies must be handled between the customer and the warranty company. We will not act as intermediaries. If they’re slow on the draw past 60 days, you’ll be on the hook.
    • Claim Submission: We will submit claims to home warranty companies on your behalf. However, you are responsible for 100% of the repair costs. Any monies received from the home warranty company will be applied to your bill. If the claim remains unpaid for longer than 60 days, you will be charged for the outstanding balance.
    • Reimbursement and Claims: Should you choose to pay for services instead of My Georgia Plumber submitting your claim, or should your home warranty company fail to pay the claim or partially pays your claim, you may submit your paid invoice for reimbursement directly to them or file a claim against the warranty company's performance bond. Reimbursement will be determined by your home warranty company and paid directly to you. Regardless, we will not issue refunds for services rendered. We’ll root for you, but our wallets stay shut.
  6. Disputed Charges
    • If you dispute a valid charge, a $125 late fee, administration fee, and finance charge will be added to your invoice. You must pay the balance within 3 days. If not paid, an additional $175 lien filing charge will apply. Additional collections charges, including court fees, legal expenses, and foreclosure costs, may also apply.
  7. Maintenance Services 
    • Satisfaction Guarantee: Contact us within 3 days if you are not satisfied with our maintenance services to discuss concerns and potential solutions.
    • Rework and Adjustments: We will provide rework or adjustments to ensure satisfaction. We’re all about the happy endings. If at first we don’t succeed, we’re game to try again.
    • Non-Refundable Fees: Fees for parts, materials, and specific labor already completed are non-refundable.
  8. Installation of New Fixtures and Equipment
    • Manufacturer’s Warranty: New fixtures and equipment are covered under the manufacturer’s warranty. We will facilitate warranty claims and repairs.
    • Labor Warranty: We provide a 30-day labor warranty on new installations. Rework will be conducted at no additional charge if issues arise within this period.
  9. Refund Eligibility
    • Refunds for installations will be considered only if we are unable to resolve installation issues after rework attempts. Partial refunds may be issued based on the nature and extent of the issue.
  10. Special Order Parts
    • Non-Refundable Deposit Required: When you place an order for special parts with My Georgia Plumber, a deposit is required. These parts are not part of our regular inventory, and typically incur restocking fees if returned, so they come with a no-returns tag once ordered. Yes, that means deposits are non- refundable, much like a lost sock in the laundry.
    • Cancellations: Should you decide to cancel you’ve got 14 days to swing by and snag your part from our shop. Remember, our storage space is more precious than closet space in a tiny apartment, so unclaimed parts embark on a new journey to local charities after 30 days. This helps us manage our inventory efficiently while supporting the community.
