Sump Pump Repair You Can Rely On — Canton, GA

Keep Water Out. Protect Your Home. Stay Dry Year-Round.

Why a Working Sump Pump Really Matters

Ever walked downstairs after a heavy Georgia storm and found that unmistakable smell — damp concrete and standing water?
If so, you already know how fast things can go wrong when a sump pump quits on you.

Here in Canton, we get plenty of rain, and it doesn’t take much for basements to flood. A sound sump pump system isn’t just nice to have — it’s what keeps your home safe from costly water damage.

At My Georgia Plumber, we’ve been helping local homeowners stay dry since 2007. Whether you need a quick repair, a replacement, or just want someone to double-check your setup before the next big storm — we’ve got your back.

Why a Working Sump Pump Really Matters

What Usually Goes Wrong (and How We Fix It)

Sump pumps work hard. After a few seasons, things wear down — that’s normal. The trick is catching it early.
Our Canton-based plumbers fix all kinds of issues, including:

  • Power Problems: We can add a backup battery so your pump keeps running when the power’s out.
  • Clogged or Frozen Drain Lines: Discharge lines get blocked or freeze over in cold weather — we’ll clean and insulate them.
  •  Float & Switch Troubles: If the pump doesn’t kick on when it should, odds are the float or switch is jammed. We can repair or replace it.
  • Weird Noises or Vibrations: Usually a sign of grit or worn parts inside the pump. We’ll take it apart, clean it, and get it running smoothly again.
  •  Old Units: If your pump’s over 10 years old, it’s probably time for an upgrade — newer models work faster and save energy.

“A well-maintained sump pump can prevent nearly all basement flooding.”

On 8/5/26 My Georgia Plumber did a very complete and professional plumbing inspection that was included FREE with my Home Care Club Membership. During the inspection, I pointed out the low water flow in the two master bathroom sinks. James T determined the cause was clogged aerators in both of the Moen faucets. He said they needed to be replaced. My Georgia Plumber provided an estimate of the replacement cost. On 8/14/26 James T and his associate replaced the two aerators and now the water flow is very good. THANKS FOR THE GREAT WORK, GUYS!!

I was very pleased with the service. It was punctual and effective; the job was done properly—something others had failed to do, which was why the problem persisted. Thank you

Rhett went above and beyond! Our disposal was not working, it was still under warranty with its manufacturer. I called the manufacturer’s customer service. Rhett took the time to speak to them directly and resolved the issue. He also installed a new seal ring on our half-bath toilet. He did a great job! I always have an excellent experience when I call My Georgia Plumber.
